From Aspen Documentation
We can use your help no matter your profession or skill level. We don't just need programmers, we need anyone who is willing to help.
Below is a list of ways you can help:
- Using and testing the framework.
- Filing bugs.
- Asking and answering questions in our google group.
- Submitting bug fixes for existing bugs or those that you've found.
- Reviewing the code and suggesting new features, changes, etc.
- Writing unit tests for the code.
- Helping with translations.
- Review our documentation.
Users who the Aspen team feels are excellent contributors may be granted access as a documentation editor, bug maintainer, and may even be given commit access to the subversion repository.
If you're looking for some tasks you can put your skills to work on, have a look at our bug list.
Some specific items we're looking for help with include:
- Testing, testing, testing!
- Improving security.
- Improving language and character encoding support.
- Integrating support for other databases like PostgreSQL, SQLite, MSSQL, etc.
- Improving support for Windows environments.
- Writing unit tests.
- Improving the query generation class.
